Footballers (soccer players) do more than just manage balls all day long. Some like to ride, and when Sevilla FC goalie Andrés Palop wanted a customized BMW K series “brick” bike (so labeled due to the big, rectangular engine block), he asked Bolt Motor Co. of Valencia, Spain to take on the project. The result is a modded K75 like no other. He wanted a version that was understated and clean with a dark ethos and red highlights. Simple, right? Well, Bolt went the distance by taking a 1991 BMW K75S and adding new and customized components like the K100 tank, Ducati Monster front suspension, powerful red Brembo brakes, and numerous parts from Motogadget to round out the clean look. Bolt also added a custom waterproof suede seat on top of the modified subframe and painted a bold “K75” in red on black mesh panels for effect. The rather stealthy and painstakingly constructed carbon fiber rear wheel cover adds more dark muscularity to this bike, and the final product exhibits just the right balance of sportiness and menace to a model that didn’t get the credit it deserved.
