Out on the wily, windy moors, I find myself on the afternoon of New Year’s Eve, following in the footsteps of Emily Brontë, Yorkshire’s most famous goth. To celebrate the bicentenary of the novelist and poet, the Brontë Parsonage Museum in West Yorkshire, has commissioned folk group The Unthanks to set Emily’s poetry to music, which visitors can listen to with an audio headset on a guided walk until spring.
