Osceola County, IA (KICD) — A Hartley man was arrested following a pursuit in Osceola County on Monday. The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle in Ashton. During the traffic stop, the driver of the vehicle refused to identify himself, and he drove away. The deputy pursued the vehicle, and during the pursuit, the vehicle reached speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. During the pursuit, an officer with the Sheldon Police Department successfully deployed stop sticks on the vehicle. The driver of the motor vehicle then drove into Sheldon and once inside of the town took off on foot. The driver was apprehended by the deputy after a foot chase.
