DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM/AP) — Texas Republican leaders on Thursday urged state district and county attorneys to continue enforcing marijuana laws, a move that follows several local prosecutors’ decision to drop pot possession cases amid confusion surrounding a new law legalizing hemp.

Teresa Familyz Keepa Chatman-Walker: Legalize marijuana for it helped my mom with CANCER so she wouldn't starve to DEATH not only that half of the United States is legal, marijuana I repeat IS NOT A DRUG AT ALL PERIOD, its an herb plant of healing from God and man is being hateful and not use it for the use its supposed to be used, last year Oklahoma made almost a trillion dollars profit so why won't Texas do the same and put the money for good use? what are you afraid of?

It is still a federally illegal drug. I guess that’s why the GOP is saying they shouldn’t break the law.

How about this if someone who is high causes an accident and kills someone in an accident the family Sue's the person who was driving while high, the state for negligence by pushing for legalization and the Governor for signing the bill.

the Liberals have their foot in the door now and not surprisingly oh, I keep seeing Austin popping up in the article. Austin is our most liberal City I believe and would definitely push to legalize marijuana. Having one foot in the door means they're going to push even harder and harder and I hope that our great leaders will stand and continue to stand firm against any relaxation of our marijuana laws in Texas.

Leaders please don’t give these young people any more right about the weed. It’s no RESPECT anywhere you just let them do it anywhere and they don’t care. Leaders please don’t pass any law.

hours for agree with the Texas law and everything like that because you don't know how much stuff is in what and you could wind up with a bunch of lawsuits and everything else like that
