NYSP, SWAT at the scene of a standoff in Rensselaer County

NASSAU, N.Y. (NEWS10) — New York State Police have been at the scene of a standoff in the Town of Schodack in Rensselaer County for more than 12 hours. NYSP say the standoff at a home on Route 7 in Nassau started prior to dinnertime Wednesday and has continued through the night. It’s not yet clear why police were initially called to the home. Members of the NYSP SWAT team could be seen responding to the situation.
