Sewer project more costly than anticipated

SHENANGO TOWNSHIP — Bids for the first phase of a project to build about 12 miles of sewer lines are $1.1 million more than anticipated. Rudzic Excavating, Struthers, Ohio, was the low bidder with a $8.448 million bid, and Penn-Ohio Electric, Masury, was the low bidder for the electrical piece of the project with a $138,000 bid, Shenango Township Municipal Authority members reported at its meeting Wednesday.
