LINCOLN — Despite some lean months, Nebraska ended its fiscal year on a high note for tax revenues, fueling talk of property tax relief. The Department of Revenue reported Monday that the state collected $4.89 billion in net taxes during the year that ended June 30. That's $176 million — or 3.7% — more than the certified forecast of tax revenues, set in February.
