Illinois state Rep. Brad Halbrook (R-Shelbyville) wonders how long Illinois can survive with policies like the new $85 billion state budget just signed into law by Gov. J.B. Pritzker setting the tone for the way the state operates.

Charissa Ingram: can we please separate from Chicago?!

daze zeei: The best response to Illinois government is to leave the State. I plan to do so in the future, God willing.

Mike Roberts: remember to vote.

mark flynn: Time to pull out your toilets and declare your house uninhabitable like JB did. Lock him up

Donald Bartley: Don't hear him complaining about his raise tho

irresponsible is an understatement. the only cure is to remove Crook County and its crooked politicians from the state.

everyone from Illinois are just going to Indiana to purchase gas and cigarettes and food because of the taxes I don't know why they keep raising everything when they know we go to Indiana. maybe if more people move out of Illinois they will get the picture

it's getting ridiculous Illinois will go evaporate to nothing since all these new laws and the state is fading fast

I'm going into a tax coma. If Gov Jelly roll hasn't paid taxes then I feel like I shouldn't have to as well. Our money funding illegals and abortions without the Illinois residents say. Wish we could move out of this corrupt state.

that's a nice thought, however, the $ from lottery sales was supposed to go to schools, and, the taxes collected on gaming is going into the general fund, so if you think the extra $ is going to help you, you're sadly mistaken.

About time someone is (hopefully) tell us the truth. Thank you

the smartest thing he signed was bill for pot those sales will generate more $$$ for the state than any fines and also not so many people incarcerated so that will be a savings maybe if some of the big wigs had to survive the way the rest of us do paycheck to paycheck and hand to mouth I think things might possibly be different
