According to the Kentucky State Police, a body was found on a property in Harlan Co Friday evening. Investigators said the owner of the property on May Street in Harlan, was at the home and noticed the basement door was opened. Upon investigating, the owner went into the basement and found a decomposed body. Officials believe the body found matches the identity of a missing person in the Harlan Co. The body was sent to Frankfort for an autopsy. Kentucky State Police say no one has lived in the home for six years and the owner was cleaning the property when the body was found. The cause of death is still under investigation.
