Willamette National Forest holding meeting about project near Oakridge

Willamette National Forest officials will hold a public meeting Tuesday to collect public comment about a forest management project planned near Oakridge. The meeting will run from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Lowell Grange Hall at 51 E 2nd St. in Lowell, according to the Springfield-based national forest. The Youngs Rock Rigdon project would have forest management on 6,700 acres on 33,000 acres of woods. Forest management includes logging and thinning.
