A tornado touched down near Lucas, in South Dakota’s Gregory County, on June 30, as storms brought golf ball-sized hail and damaging winds to the area, according to the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls. Farmer Jon Sperl was working the land when the twister touched down, and shot this video of it making its way through fields. The National Weather Service said the tornado caused no injuries to people or structures, but said reported damage to trees and a a soybean field.
