A father-of-three who had to care for his kids for 48 hours after his wife was sick with the flu has written an open letter declaring his appreciation for all she does. Laura Mazza, 33, from Melbourne, shared the note on Facebook, explaining she'd recently been hit with a bout of gastro and her husband had to step up and look after their three kids, who are all under the age of five.

cindy culler: Love to see Fathers step up to be daddy's and admit it's not an easy job that your wife does everyday. Kudos and Happy Fathers Day.

Never Quit: As a single dad...yep, it's hard work.

Gin Green: I wish you could find a writer who would proof read before posting. It's annoying to see simple mistakes that could have been avoided by proof reading. Want me to proof read your posts? I'm looking for a proof reading job. This is the 5th post I've read. All have simple mistakes! Great article as the others were but too many writers mistakes. PROOF READ!

Dan Waldron: I once told my ex wife how much easier she had it at home with our 3 kids , and when she disagreed , I told her to take a vacation for a week and I would use my vacation time to stay home with the kids ! well guess what Guys ? I was never so happy to see her walk in the door and I apologised right and left , I was never so happy to get back to my day job ! to this day I will never tell a woman that she has it made in the shade to stay home with the kids ! lesson very well learned 👍

Dane Wesley: I was a mechanic for Chevron and worked hard every day, my time off was on Friday and Saturday and I told my wife that I would take care of the kids on Friday's and after about 4 hr. I realised I made a mistake my kids had me begging to go back to work so I could get some rest. I told my wife I would never trade jobs with her because her job was a lot harder than mine, I wanted her to know how hard she worked. I started cooking our supper every night s she could have some time for her self. We have come to understanding that her job is a lot harder than I thought and now I know why she is so tired now. you mean everything to me.
