We hear it just about every day now, and even some old-school baseball fans are starting to agree: it's time for robot umpires. And a big shout out to home plate umpire Mike Winters for helping prove that theory with his egregious strikeout call on Saturday night. Rockies starter Jon Gray was the beneficiary of a very, and I mean VERY, generous strikeout call against Mets shortstop Amed Rosario.

how many games were decided by poor umpiring calls? makes me sick. I've seen better umps in little league.

I have said for YEARS that the strikes and balls should be "called" by the strike zone we see on TV. If they need an umpire behind the plate, let him call the runners coming home.

Almost as bad as the refs in the NHL. Speaking if which, I think it's time to allow some kind of challenge or challenges in the NHL.
