The Major League Baseball season is in full swing. but one umpire might need a few extra games to get into mid-season form. Angel Hernandez was behind the plate for Tuesday night’s game between the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays.

User from CT: Angel Hernandez is an embarrassment, always has been

David Thompson: Same as NFL Refs. When a Manager, coach or player can no longer exercise their 1st amendment and question a bad call (not even in a press conference) for fear of ejection or fines....it has made these officials untouchable, emboldened, vindictive, and ripe for corruption. There is no real cks and balances on them. .A new, more accountable system must me inacted.

Jim Bob: this is how they fix games, he knows better and what he's doing.

User from TX: Angel Hernandez needs to go back to the little league.

Thom C: He needs to go. I don't think he could properly call a T ball game

I think we should do away with live sports all together and just use video games. You can set your preference on how good you want your officiating/umpiring. And no more injuries win/win!

Reminds me of worst call in NCAA national championship 2001. Cost Mia a championship from a ref on the other side of the field! This ump within 2’ of the plate n can’t see. Next pitch Tanaka has a HR hit!
