Company recalls more than 62,000 pounds of beef due to possible contamination - 05-24


The FDA reported this morning that Aurora Packing Company is recalling approximately 62,112 pounds of beef products for possible E. coli contamination. The products - largely cuts of steak, including ribeyes, ribs and brisket - were packaged April 19 at the Aurora Packing North Aurora, Illinois. The affected beef was shipped nationwide. "788" inside the USDA mark of inspection, according to the FSIS. So far, there have not been any confirmed reports of anyone falling ill after eating the meat.
