Roadways flooded by heavy rain in Deep E. Texas

In Angelina County, flooding has made U.S. Highway 59 impassible between Burke and Diboll. Water is over the road in several locations along Farm to Market Road 1818, east of Diboll and along FM 841/Massingill Road. Both FM 324 near U.S. 59 and FM 2497 are closed to thru traffic.

Fire crews rescue three in flooded waters

Another rescue was at the intersection of Hwy. 30 and F.M. 1791 when the driver lost control and their vehicle was caught in the water. A final one was on F.M. 3478, near the Estelle Unit in Riverside, with the occupant having to be rescued by firemen on foot.

According to TxDOT, FM 2501 north of Apple Springs in Trinity County is under water and not passable. Also, FM 357 north of Apple Springs, has water over the roadway.
