Kermit teacher killed in crash on U.S. 119 - 02-20


MINGO COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH -- A Kermit PK-8 teacher died after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 119 Monday, the Williamson Daily News reports. Ashley Ferguson, 27, of Lenore, was driving a Ford Escape about 3:30 p.m. Monday when she pulled out onto Corridor G and was struck by a Chevy Silverado driven by Aaron Copley, a police report says. Ferguson, who was a first grade teacher at the school, was pronounced dead at the scene.
