Suspect sought after Smithfield man killed in assault, deputies say
A Smithfield man died during an assault Monday night and a Clayton man is wanted in the incident, deputies said Tuesday. The incident was reported just before 10:40 p.m. at 1516 Braswell Road in Smithfield, according to a news release from the Johnston County Sheriff's Office.
