Man gets 10-year term for role in killing - 05-16


One of three defendants accused of playing a role in the 2015 killing of a northwest Gainesville resident was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in prison. Freddie Alonzo Lynum Jr., 29, pleaded no contest to charges of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon, according to court documents. Lynum will receive 1,354 days credit for time served in jail awaiting disposition of the case.
