Two sentenced in Ft. Plain murder: Family members speak out

FONDA — Two of the three men involved in the murder of a Fort Plain man were sentenced in Montgomery County Court Friday. Eric S. Rivera, 31, of Gloversville, who was found guilty of second-degree murder and second-degree conspiracy to commit a violent act in March by a jury in Montgomery County Court, was sentenced to 15 years to life in a state facility by Montgomery County Court Judge Felix Catena on his murder conviction. Under his conspiracy to commit a violent act conviction, Rivera was sentenced to eight years to 25 years in a state facility.
