Rivera, Cockfield sentenced in murder

FONDA — Sentences were handed out in Montgomery County Court on Friday to two of the three men involved in the shooting death of Joshua LaVeck in Fort Plain last June. Eric S. Rivera, 31, of Gloversville, was sentenced to 15 years to life imprisonment by Montgomery County Court Judge Felix Catena for his conviction at jury trial on March 22 on charges of second-degree murder and second-degree conspiracy.
