Police ID Man Who Died in Boating Accident on Candlewood Lake
Police said 29-year-old Joseph Miranda, of Manchester, swam to the shore and refused medical treatment. A second man, 48-year-old Gary Hayes, of East Hartford, was found in the water and was transported to Danbury Hospital, where he later died.
