Danbury Man Struck and Killed by Car in Brookfield

Police said the victim, 58-year-old Harold Trafton, was unloading equipment from a trailer near 230 Whisconier Road when he was hit by a vehicle trying to move around the trailer. Trafton was taken to Danbury Hospital where he died.

Pedestrian hit by car, killed on Route 25 in Brookfield

Brookfield police were sent to 230 Whisconier Road, a residential area of the state route, around 9:17 a.m. after reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car. Police said the crash was fatal, but are not releasing the identity of the victim until the family is notified, according to a release.
