Danbury Man Struck and Killed by Car in Brookfield
Police said the victim, 58-year-old Harold Trafton, was unloading equipment from a trailer near 230 Whisconier Road when he was hit by a vehicle trying to move around the trailer. Trafton was taken to Danbury Hospital where he died.

Linda Pendergast of Brookfield was traveling south on Route 25 in the area of Fairview Road when she moved into the northbound lane to avoid the trailer. When she did, she struck Harold Trafton, 58, who had been assisting with the off-load, police said in a release.
