A man convicted of murder in relation to a Saskatoon stabbing will not have the opportunity to present new evidence at trial. Alvin Patrick Junior Naistus was found guilty in April 2017 of second-degree murder in the April 18, 2015 parking lot stabbing of 44-year-old Billy Johnston. He was handed a life sentence with no parole eligibility for 10 years.
