Girls track and field: Sandia’s Tatum has record day, but La Cueva wins team title

Adriana Tatum was feeling grateful as she blazed her way into New Mexico’s state high school track and field record books three times Saturday. Sandia’s ultra-talented sophomore erased the girls overall 100-meters standard established by Rio Grande’s Shelia Burrell with a dazzling 11.69-second sprint at UNM’s track and field stadium. Burrell’s time of 11.78 stood since 1988.
