‘This was no one’s fault but my own’: 5 suicide notes found after young Mississauga woman’s death sparks SIU investigation

Hamilton Spectator - 01-15

Peel Regional Police officers will not be charged criminally in the death of a 28-year-old Mississauga woman who fell to her death from the roof of a townhouse complex. The province’s Special Investigations Unit, which probes all incidents involving police and civilians that end in death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault, ruled that the police response to the woman in distress on February 21, 2018 at a townhouse complex at Elmcreek Road and Dundas Street West was justified and appropriate, despite the traffic result.
