A Beaumont resident who teaches at El Monte High School was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a girl. Beaumont and El Monte police officers arrested Miguel Lazo, 60, at El Monte High School, 3048 Tyler Avenue, at 8:15 a.m., authorities said. He was booked at a Los Angeles County Jail on a felony charge of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor under 14, but was released by 1:30 p.m. after posting $55,000 bail, according to online county jail records.
