The Paris Lady Eagle softball team continued their hectic schedule, opening the week on the road at Logan County rival Scranton. Paris struggled early, getting out in front of the ball and Scranton answered with solid defensive play. The Lady Rockets took the lead, but Paris rallied back, taking advantage of momentum from a laser roped to left center field, clearing the fence off the bat of Jadyn Hart. Paris would hold on for the 6-3 win. The local rivalry featured two athletes headed to play at the collegiate level, with Scranton catcher Jessica Barr and Paris’ Sydney Ward both already signed. Ward played 3rd base Monday night while Hart struck out 13 over 6 innings.
