A Cleveland County jury has found 29-year-old D’Angelo Ladon Burgess guilty of first-degree murder for the death of Oklahoma Highway Patrol Lt. Donald Heath Meyer. It took the 12-person jury, made up of four men and eight women, about two-and-a-half hours to return guilty verdicts Monday on charges of murder and endangering others while eluding law enforcement. The jury found Burgess not guilty on charges of unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
