Andrew is a full-time lecturer at Staffordshire University in sport and exercise psychology. After completing his MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology at Sheffield Hallam university, Andrew undertook and recently completed a PhD at Staffordshire University investigating the effects of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) as an intervention to enhance performance within the context of elite sport. Andrew is a Trainee Sport and Exercise Psychologist with the British Psychological Society working towards Chartered Psychologist status (CPsychol) and accreditation with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Andrew is currently the Lead Sport Psychologist with the Football Association England B1 (Blind) Football Team. Andrew’s research is focussed on the application of REBT within sport and performance settings as an approach to develop psychological health and optimise performance. Andrew is the West Midlands Hub Lead for the sport psychology peer supervision group (BPS) and the Conference Lead with the BPS West Midlands Branch.
