A Cuyahoga County jury on May 16 recommended the death penalty for a Cleveland man found guilty of murdering a Euclid couple at the car dealership they owned. Joseph McAlpin, 32, was previously found guilty on charges, which included aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, kidnapping, grand theft and cruelty to animals. Jurors returned to court on May 13 for the mitigation phase to determine whether they believe McAlpin should face the death penalty.
