Supreme Court candidate who lost sues Oregon for $1 million, says biased supervisors threw him ‘under the bus’

Oregonian - 03-23

Van Pounds, who ran for a seat on the Oregon Supreme Court last year but lost, filed a $1.05 million federal lawsuit against the state Friday. Pounds claims that high-level supervisors at the state’s Department of Consumer and Business Services, which is where Pounds works, wanted him to lose the race and acted on that desire by releasing a damaging report about him to a Willamette Week reporter.
